Essa região estende-se entre os Apeninos e o Adriático, na Itália Central. As duas principais uvas são a tinta Montepulciano e a branca Trebbiano d’Abruzzo. São cultivadas ainda Chardonnay, Passerina e Pecorino e as tintas Sangiovese e Ciliegiolo. Cerca de 80% dos vinhos são de cooperativas.
